Installation of kali w3af and related problems

The latest version of kali is installed without w3af. (the latest version of 2017 downloaded from the official website), (the 2016 version is available with w3af). Let's start installing w3af.

1. First, after kali is installed, update the system and software. There are two kinds of kali sources, one is the kali-rolling version; the other is the sana version: first, determine what version of your kali system is.

2 install w3af

Cd ~ to the system root directory

Apt-get update (this step can be omitted because the above has been updated)

Apt-get install-y python-pip w3af

Pip install-upgrade pip

Git clone https://github.com/andresriancho/w3af.git

Cd w3af to the w3af directory, if you run. / w3af_console (. / w3af_gui) these two commands w3af can not be installed,. / w3af_console this is to start the command line command (. / w3af_gui) this is to start the graphical interface command, before running the two commands to run the line

Apt-get build-dep python-lxml

This command runs and then runs. / w3af_console (. / w3af_gui). When you run the command. / w3af_console, it will prompt you that w3af cannot run without software.

At this point, you want to run. / w3af_dependency_install.sh under tmp, and then go back to the w3af directory to run. / w3af_gui, and the system will prompt that running. / w3af_gui is missing xdot.

At this point, you can run pip install xdot==0.6 under the w3af directory or run. / w3af_dependency_install.sh under the tmp directory to install xdot

Then run it again. / w3af_gui

So you can start the graphical interface of w3af.
