Two ways of wireless network coverage: heaven-fed and suction-top

In the application of enterprise wireless network, the commonly used wireless coverage methods are suction-top wireless AP and antenna-fed wireless coverage.

Method 1: heaven-fed overlay

Antenna-fed coverage uses an industrial-grade wireless AP to connect multiple ceiling antennas, and the AP and antennas are connected by feeder lines, which is called antenna-feed coverage. Industrial-grade wireless AP, also known as "fat AP" or high-power wireless AP, has a strong wireless signal and a large number of access people.

Method 2: ceiling wireless AP

Multiple ceiling wireless AP are installed in the whole coverage area, which is called ceiling type. The ceiling AP has a built-in antenna, and every other distance, an AP,AP is installed and connected to the computer room with a network cable. Ceiling wireless AP is also known as "thin AP".

In the enterprise wireless network planning, first of all, the coverage of wireless AP should be considered to ensure that the wireless signal coverage is in place. Second, consider the number of wireless AP connections, depending on the hardware. The average "thin AP" is 10 to 20 clients, while the more expensive and more professional "fat AP" can support 100 to 200 wireless connections.
