Extended data
In early text-based and command-line operating systems, such as MS-DOS, the function of PrtSc was to send the entire picture on the screen to a standard printer.
In the current operating system, its meaning is different. When you press this button in the graphical operating system (that is, screenshot), the system will automatically store the content displayed on the current screen as a bitmap image in random processing memory.
At this point, the user can open any software that can read the memory (such as drawing, Photoshop, or WORD, POWERPOINT, etc.), and Ctrl+V the image, and you can edit the screenshot at that time.
In Microsoft Windows system, if you cooperate with Alt, you can also intercept the active window or dialog box.
On some keyboards, this key is placed with the system request key (System Request, abbreviated as SysRq), but this command is not enabled in Windows.
