Oracle GoldenGate Director configuration manual

I. introduction by GoldenGate Director

GoldenGate Director can simplify the monitoring and management of GoldenGate, and the GoldenGate components in the entire environment can be easily and quickly maintained through a graphical interface or web browser.

II. Components of GoldenGate Director

2.2 GoldenGate instances

Each instance is a mgr process of ggsci. We only need to specify the corresponding IP (dns) and port to connect to the instance. For large-scale applications, it is best to use dns parsing.

2.3 GoldenGate Director Server

Manage all connected instances, this server is based on weblogic. Mainly includes some applications and Monitor Agent

2.4 GoldenGate Director database

Used to store information about GoldenGate Director, including users, groups, topology diagrams, event, etc.

2.5 GoldenGate Director Client

Manage instances through a graphical interface

2.6 GoldenGate Director Web

This should be everyone's favorite tool. You can monitor the golden gate process in the current environment through the web interface.

2.7 GoldenGate Director Administrator

Used to configure Director Server

III. Installation of GoldenGate Director

3.1 install weblogic

GoldenGate Director is a service running on weblogic, so you must install weblogic first

Installation is relatively simple and the process is omitted.

3.2 prepare the database

The database is used for GoldenGate Director database and currently only supports the following three types

? MySQL 5.x Enterprise version.

? SQL Server 2000 and 2005

? Oracle 9i or later.

I usually choose mysql because it is light, fast and easy to manage. Special reminder that to prepare a user in advance, the user's password must be 8 digits

3. 3 install GoldenGate Director

Execute gg-director-serversetup_unix_*.sh to start installation of server

Execute gg-director-client_unix_*.sh to start installation of the client side

The installation process is simple, as long as you follow the prompts to enter the appropriate values.

IV. Manage configuration

4.1 start GoldenGate Director Server

Go to the GoldenGate Director domain installation directory, mine is in / opt/GG_Directorgg-director/domain

Execute the. / startWebLogic.sh command to start

After startup, enter: http://ip:7001/acon in the browser. The default username / password is admin/admin, as shown in the following figure:

4.2 run the Director Administrator4.2.1 Startup configuration tool

Enter the / opt/GoldenGateDirector/bin directory

Execute. / run-admin.sh and prompt as follows

Username input admin, password input admin, server input ip and port

4.2.2 Director Administrator configuration

Through Director Administrator, you can configure and manage the following

● Change the administrator user information and password

● Manage user accounts

● Manage data sources

● Configure the Monitor Agent

● Set default domain suffixes

The main thing is the configuration of the data source. Here is an example of my configuration.

4.2.3 GoldenGate Director drawing tool
