# Xlib: connection to & quot;:0.0" refused by server Xlib: No protocol specified

When running asmca on a redhat5 system, the following error is prompted:

# Xlib: connection to ": 0.0" refused by server

Xlib: No protocol specified

The reason is the permission problem of xhost.

Search on the Internet, are using root to implement the local:username way to solve!

However, after my own experiments, sometimes when root is executed, it also prompts the above error:

# Xlib: connection to ": 0.0" refused by server

Xlib: No protocol specified

Therefore, it is recommended that it is best to use what user to log in to the xserver, that is, the graphical interface, then use what user to execute: local:username

It's safer this way.

Because one of my cluster machines can be executed with root, but the other is not, because I am a graphical interface logged in by the oracle user, the execution is successful with the oracle user.

The asmca runs successfully.

In the end why the implementation of root is not successful, I wait for the losers temporarily do not understand ah, if there are experts know the reasons, the following post, thank you for your advice.
