What does certificate authentication mean?
The editor will share with you what certificate authentication refers to. I hope you will gain a lot after reading this article. Let's discuss it together.
SSL certificate is very secure, I believe this is most people's intuitive understanding of SSL. But many people do not know that SSL certificates need to be authenticated before they are used and configured, so what is certificate authentication? let's take a look at it.
SSL itself is a secure https protocol for transporting data and information, but all of them need to be authenticated by SSL before the next step. SSL authentication refers to client-to-server authentication. It is mainly used to provide authentication to users and servers; encrypting and hiding the transmitted data to ensure the stability of data transmission is now an international standard.
SSL authentication refers to the https client, which can authenticate with the client certificate, and the server confirms whether the access comes from its own client. The first step of the SSL client is to issue the relevant certificate channel client, and the client must install this certificate. However, in most cases, the relevant clients of SSL are not only authenticated by certificates, but also combined with form-based authentication into a two-factor authentication. The primary authentication element is to use the client to authenticate, and other relevant authentication passwords are used to verify the behavior of the user, but another point is that SSL must be encrypted, and both the server and the client need to be encrypted and decrypted, which will consume more hardware resources of the server and client than HTTP, resulting in increased load.
This is about certificate authentication. It can be seen that certificate authentication is very important for the configuration and use of SSL, so authentication can be carried out according to the above process.
