In the early deployment of Skype for Business Server 2015, 2 backend databases were used and mirroring was used, and the witness database was not configured. When the primary database is down, the database needs to be migrated manually. Now, the witness database is configured to achieve automatic failover.

1. Install the witness database and use SQL Server Express.

2. Topology Generator configure Mirror Witness

3. Publish Topology

4. Delete the original matching mirror database

Delete Application,Archiving,Monitoring,CentralMgmt in turn

5. Log in to the mirror database and delete the database manually

6. Topology generator, install mirror database

7. Verification and witness

8. Shut down any back-end database and test the automatic transfer of the back-end database.
