In Ethernet, only 4 of the 8 wires are used to transmit data over Ethernet.

Of the four lines that transmit data, two are used to send data and two to receive data.

The two lines that send the data must be connected to the data received by the opposite end. So cross lines are used between computers.

But now many switches are adaptive, and the internal receiving and transmitting circuits will be switched automatically. So you can use either of these two wires.

The parallel line is the standard data communication of 568B, which only uses 1236, that is, white, orange, white, green and green.
