AES is the 21st century encryption standard of the American National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) which aims to replace DES. AES is a block-based encryption method, that is, each time the data is processed is a block (16 bytes), when the data is not a multiple of 16 bytes, this is the so-called block cipher (different from the bit-based stream cipher), 16 bytes is the block length. AES has many modes, such as ECB, CBC and so on.

ECB: a basic encryption method in which ciphertext is divided into blocks of equal packet length (insufficient completion), and then encrypted one by one, and output one by one to form ciphertext.

Advantages: 1, simple; 2, conducive to parallel computing; 3, errors will not be transmitted

Disadvantages: 1, can not hide the plaintext mode; 2, can take the initiative to plaintext * *

CBC: a circular mode in which the ciphertext of the previous packet and the plaintext XOR operation of the current packet are encrypted to make it more difficult to crack.

Advantages: 1. It is not easy to take the initiative, and its security is better than ECB;2. It is suitable for messages with long transmission length. It is the standard of SSL and IPSec.

Disadvantages: 1, it is not conducive to parallel computing; 2, error transfer; 3, need to initialize vector IV.
