This paper describes the definition and implementation of 2000 China Geodetic coordinate system (CGCS2000) and its comparison with WGS84. CGCS2000 is a geocentric geodetic coordinate system, which adopts GRS80 ellipsoid and is realized by the points of 2000 national GPS geodetic network at the coordinate and velocity of epoch 2000.0. CGCS2000 is consistent with ITRF and compatible with WGS84.
