The cdn server is a capacity distribution network built on the network, relying on the edge service internals deployed in various places, through the functional modules of the central platform, such as negative load balance, content distribution, scheduling and so on, to enable users to obtain the required content nearby, reduce network congestion, and improve user access response speed and hit rate.

The full name of CDN is Content Delivery Network, that is, distribution network. CDN is a capacity distribution network built on the network, relying on the edge service internals deployed in various places, through the functional modules of the central platform, such as negative load balance, content distribution, scheduling and so on, to enable users to get the content they need nearby, reduce network congestion, and improve user access response speed and hit rate. The key technologies of CDN are content storage and distribution technology.

Extended data:

The functional entities in CDN network include content cache device, content switch, content router, CDN content management system and so on.

Content cache is a CDN network node, which is located at the user access point. It is a content providing device for end users, which can cache static Web content and streaming media content, and realize the edge propagation and storage of content, so that users can access it nearby.

The content switch is located at the user access concentration point, which can balance the load of multiple content caching devices at a single point, and carry out cache load balancing and access control for the content.
