Configure Syslog for VMware esxi host
Let's configure how vmware esxi hosts configure Syslog.
In vsphere client, select host 192.168.166.144, select the "configure-> Storage" option, right-click the server's local storage name, and select "Browse Local Storage" in the pop-up dialog box as shown:
two。 Create a new directory to store system logs as shown in the figure:
3. Record the path to the new folder and note that the storage name and folder name are case-sensitive, as shown in the figure:
4. Select the Advanced Settings option in the configuration-> Software option group as shown in the figure:
5. In the Advanced Settings dialog box, select "syslog" on the left, and enter our new log path in "syslog.global.logdir" on the right, as shown in the figure:
