One switch and two PC are implemented in Packer Tracer to form a local area network.

Packet Tracher introduction:

Packet Tracer is a simulation software developed by Cisco for CCNA certification to design, configure and troubleshoot the network.

Packer Tracer simulator software is more powerful than Boson and easier to operate than Dynamips, so it is very suitable for beginners of network equipment.

Preparation for the experiment:

Install Packer Tracer

In the software, a model 2960 switch is used to interconnect 2pc computers to form a small local area network.

Set the ip address of the 2PC respectively.

The process of the experiment:

Connect the switch to the PC as shown in the picture

Set the ip addresses of the two PC respectively.

Execute the ping command in the cmd command of PC to see if the two PC are interworking, as shown in the following figure.

The experiment verifies that there is interworking between the two PC, and the local area network is established successfully.
