1. Cisco simulator

There are generally three kinds of Cisco simulators: Cisco Packet Tracer, GNS3 and IOU.

Generally, Cisco Packet Tracer is a simulator officially launched by Cisco. The basic functional commands of this simulator are supported, but the functional commands of advanced features are generally not supported. And the simulation of log and other information is relatively false. GNS3 has no switch emulation and can only use layer 3 device no ip routing to simulate the switch. And it consumes a lot of CPU and memory if you simulate more devices. IOU can generally simulate multiple devices that take up less system resources.

GNS3 needs to import system images (images of real devices). Then the simulation is more real. IOU also needs to import the system image file. However, Cisco Packet Tracer does not need to import system images or install virtual machines.

2. H3C simulator

There are generally two kinds of H3C simulators: HLC and LITO. HLC simulator is commonly used now. HLC requires virtualbox to support device emulation. And you don't have to import the system image file separately. It is convenient for the simulator to have its own command manual.

Third, Huawei simulator

Huawei network simulator is generally eNSP. This simulator needs to install virtualbox to support device emulation. And you don't have to import the system image separately after installation. The simulator supports wireless, firewall, routing, switching and other devices, and has strong functions.
