Summary of channel-group,port-channel,etherchannel
Layer 2 Link Aggregation
The default mode is on and the protocol is pagp.
In this mode, ports are manually configured to force members to become etherchannels. Even if there is a problem at the peer end, you can still see the aggregation ports that are forced to start with the show ether summ command.
This mode does not send paglp data units to the peer and does not negotiate any parameters of the protocol
It is recommended to use lacp protocol, mode is active
One end of the pattern manually specifies the duplex, speed, trunk mode, etc. of physical member ports. Then manually create the port-channel
The physical port of the peer is manually added to the channel-group. The peer will actively send lacp data unit. If the physical member port has speed duplex, truunk, nativevlan mismatch, the eherchannel will be terminated to prevent Layer 2 loop.
If no mismatch problem is found by exchanging lacp data units, port-channel is automatically established on passive side, trunk mode, duplex mode, etc. of this virtual logical layer 2 port automatically inherits physical members.
