Editor to share with you how to manually set the parameter file of ASM after installing a single instance of ASM, I believe most people do not know much about it, so share this article for your reference. I hope you will gain a lot after reading this article. Let's learn about it together.

Log in to grid users

The file path is cd $ORACLE_HOME/dbs

Vi init+ASM.ora

Asm_diskstring='/dev/asm*'

Asm_diskgroups='DATA'

Asm_power_limit=1

Diagnostic_dest='/u01/app/grid'

Instance_type='asm'

Large_pool_size=12M

Remote_login_passwordfile='EXCLUSIVE'

Then sqlplus / as sysasm

Startup nomount pfile='$ORACLE_HOME/dbs/init+ASM.ora'-this $ORACLE_HOME complements the absolute path itself

ASM instance started

Total System Global Area 1135747072 bytes

Fixed Size 2260728 bytes

Variable Size 1108320520 bytes

ASM Cache 25165824 bytes

Or startup nomount directly is fine, because you will find that there are only two parameter files, init+ASM.ora and init.ora, under the $ORACLE_HOME/dbs/ path, while init+ASM.ora has a higher priority.
