1. Source routing
That is, the routing path of data communication is determined by the source host, so that the data can take a specific route to bypass the faulty network, and the throughput of a particular network can be tested.
2. Record routing
That is to record the IP address of each hop route from the source host to the destination host in the data communication, which can be used to judge the communication path and test whether the routing protocol configuration in the network is correct.
3. Time stamp
That is, in data communication, each hop from the source host to the destination host hits the local time (Greenwich mean time) of the router, which is used for network throughput analysis, load analysis, congestion analysis and so on.
