The software industry as a whole can be summarized in four words: requirements, architecture, tools, and algorithms.

Demand is the driving force behind the software industry, and changes in demand lead to advances in architecture, tools, and algorithms.

Architecture at this level, mainly involved in a problem-solving ideas and strategies, the birth of a good architecture from the requirements and technology in-depth understanding, but not too closely related to the specific technology implementation.

Tools are demand-driven, the creation of tools will be limited by architecture, and different tools are generally better at one area.

The progress of algorithm depends on the basic discipline and is the optimization of specific problems.

In short, whether it is requirements, architecture, tools, or algorithms, there are few leaps and bounds of progress and innovation, and most of them are improvements on the basis of previous ones.

Understanding Big Data
