To use msfconsole for the first time, open the built-in database PostgreSQL and metasplote, and then run msfconsole

Open PostgreSQL: service postgresql start

Confirm open:ps -e| grep 5432(mainly depends on whether port 5432 is open, the default occupied port of postgresql service is 5432)

Open metasploit: service metasploit start

Finally, run msfconsole

If you want to boot these two services, if it is gnome desktop, you can add a self-startup item in gnome-session-properties, you can also follow other friends on the Internet as update-rc.d postgresql enable and update-rc.d metaploit enable
