MSTP
MSTP (Multi-Service Transfer Platform) (multi-service transport platform based on SDH) is a multi-service node which provides unified network management by simultaneously realizing the access, processing and transmission of TDM, ATM, Ethernet and other services based on SDH platform.
Multiple spanning Tree (MST) uses the modified Rapid spanning Tree (RSTP) protocol, called multiple spanning Tree Protocol (MSTP).

Standard status editor
International: MSTP is the result of the integration of a variety of technologies and standards. There is no special MSTP standard in the world, only the individual technology standards involved in MSTP, and their names are also different (such as MSPP,NG-SDH, etc.).
Domestic: MSTP's first industry standard "YD/T 1238-2002 Technical requirements for Multi-Service Transport nodes based on SDH" was issued in 2002.
Network access license: the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology only issues trial approval for MSTP equipment. Because MSTP is developed on the basis of SDH, some MSTP devices use SDH network access license.
