I. pre-recorded optical discs

3. DVD-Audio
The specification of DVD-Audio is DVD audio format.
(1) 16,20,24 bit quantization is available.
(2) the sampling frequency can be selected as 48 kHz, 96 kHz, 192 kHz and 44.1, 88.2 kHz.
(3) 2 channels or multiple channels can be selected, and there can be up to 6 channels.
If we choose the highest quantization 24bit, the highest sampling frequency 192kHz, and record 2-channel stereo programs, then a DVD-5 CD can store 64 minutes of such high-quality audio programs. CD-DA is 16bit quantization, 44.1kHz sampling, and its data volume is only 15% of DVD-Audio.
The LPCM used by DVD-Audio is an uncompressed reproduction of the original sound. It can also use Dolby Digital and DTS specifications.
DVD-Audio can reach 144db, while the dynamic range of CD is 120db.
DVD-Audio cannot be played on PC. If you want to replay on PC, you need to install the DVD-Audio decoder.
2. Recordable optical discs
Recordable discs can be divided into two types: write-once and erasable.
There are DVD-R and DVD+R for writing at one time.
The erasability includes DVD-RAM, DVD-RW and DVD+RW.
DVD-R,DVD-RW and DVD-RAM are the formats developed by the DVD Forum.
DVD+R and DVD+RW are formats developed by the DVD consortium.
