1.1.1 sharing EFS files

You may need to authorize other user accounts to access your encrypted files and share encrypted files with other users using the same computer.

Example: share encrypted files with other users using the same computer.

Domain user account Han Ligang encrypted files on Research computers to allow domain user Lanshuai account access.

1. Log in to the Research computer with Lanshuai's domain user account, create a folder, and set its properties to encrypted. The aim is to get the system to assign an EFS certificate to Lan Shuai.

two。 Cancel the Lanshuai user account.

3. Log in to the Research computer with Han Ligang's account, right-click the "hanLG test.txt" file in the folder "hanLG EFS" folder, and click "Properties".

Tip: other user accounts cannot be allowed to access the entire encrypted folder. Other users can only be granted access to EFS for one file.

4. In the properties dialog box, click the Advanced button, and in the advanced properties dialog box that appears, click the details button.

5. In the user access dialog box that appears, click the add button.

6. The dialog box that appears lists the EFS certificates of users who have EFS certificates stored in the user profile on the local computer. Select the "Lanshuai" EFS certificate and click "OK". Complete the authorization.

Tip: the symmetric key that encrypts the file is encrypted by the public key in the EFS certificate of the two users, so both user accounts can use their own private key to decrypt the encrypted symmetric key and use the symmetric key to decrypt the file.

7. Log in to the Research computer with the Lanshuai account and you can open the notepad file.
