Today, I installed the laptop as ubuntu15.04, but at first I couldn't access the wireless wifi, but it depressed me so I started Baidu, and then I found some footprints of my predecessors.

Sudo iwlist wlan0 scan# finds the desired ESSID, such as chinanet# hypothetical password 1234567890sudo iwconfig wlan0 essid chinanet key 1234567890sudo dhclient wlan0.

And then I made a mistake.

Xiaorui@xiaorui:~$ sudo iwconfig wlan0 essid zzy key zzy123456Error for wireless request "Set Encode" (8B2A): SET failed on device wlan0; Invalid argument.

Then Baidu looked for a solution and found such an answer from netizens.

I also encountered the same error code system is 10.04, the problem is that ubuntu does not support wpa encryption. Configure AP to connect without a password, so if you successfully connect with iwconfig wlan0 essid xxx, if the AP password is all numeric, you will not report an error, but if the AP password is alphanumeric, you will report that the error solution for the landlord is to use the wpasupplicant software: # wpa_passphrase ESSID PWD > xxx.conf#wpa_supplicant-B-I wlan0-Dwext-c. / xxx.conf#iwconfig wlan0#dhclient wlan0

Then I did it as above, but I still couldn't get online when I finished it, and I was about to collapse. And then I just want to restart it.

Then reboot, unexpectedly can be on.
