PIX Firewall configuration DHCP

Configuration:

Pixfirewall (config) # dhcpd address 192.168.1.1-192.168.1.253 inside / / assign this segment address to the host on the inside interface

Pixfirewall (config) # dhcpd dns 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4 / / assign some active and standby DNS to all interface hosts with DHCP service enabled

Pixfirewall (config) # dhcpd dns 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4 interface inside / / assign active and standby DNS to inside interface

Pixfirewall (config) # dhcpd domain www.cisco.com / / provide this domain name for global hosts

Pixfirewall (config) # dhcpd enable inside / / enable the DHCP service for this API

In addition, it should be noted that there is no need to configure the gateway issued by DHCP. PIX will automatically assign the address of the interface as the gateway address according to the interface on which the DHCP service is enabled.
