The difference between KB, kb, KBps and Kbps
Before you understand the difference between them, you need to figure out the following points:
The difference between 1.Kb and KB: the information in the computer is represented by binary zeros and ones, in which each 0 or 1 is called a bit, denoted by a lowercase b, or bit (bit); an uppercase B represents byte, that is, a byte, and a byte = eight bits, that is, 1Byte 8b; the preceding uppercase K means thousands, that is, a thousand bits (Kb) or a thousand bytes (KB). Represents the size unit of a file, usually using KB to represent the size of the file.
2.ps:/s (per second)
A unit of binary digits transmitted per second
Bps
Kbps
Mbps
The unit of bytes transmitted per second
MBps
KBps
Bps
Usually software downloads show the number of bytes, assuming that the broadband download speed of 10m is 10M=10Mbps=10000Kbps=10000/8KBps=1250KBps.
Unit of storage
One Chinese character = 2 English letters = 2 bytes
Official standards:
1 Chinese character = 2 bytes
1 byte (Byte) = 8 bits (bit) = 8 binary numbers
1 bit (bit) = 1 binary number
1B=8b
1KB=1024B
1MB=1024KB
1GB=1024MB
Hardware business standards:
1GB=1000MB
1MB=1000KB
1KB=1000B
