The first step is to install vmaretools under the vmware menu bar (since I have already installed it, it says reinstall)

Then you can see the compressed package of vmaretools in the file of the DVD CD in the virtual machine (the version of VMwareTool may be inconsistent, so you need to enter the graphical interface startx first)

Next, extract the package, install tools, copy the package into the home file, and then unzip it and run it. We can enter the command at the terminal.

Then enter all the way back and wait for the installation to be completed and then restart it.

Or do-it-yourself copy to a folder under root permission to extract it, or the key point is to be able to extract it, and then the terminal goes to the decompression folder to run the vmware-install.pl file.
