GCC 8.2 has been released, and GCC 8.2 is the bug fix version of the GCC 8 branch, which contains major fixes for regression and critical bug in GCC 8.1, and has fixed more than 99 bugs since the previous release. GCC (GNU Compiler Collection,GNU compiler suite) is a set of programming language compilers developed by GNU.

­it is a set of free software issued under the GPL and LGPL licenses, a key part of the GNU program, and a standard compiler for the free Unix-like and Apple Mac OS X operating systems. GCC (especially the C language compiler) is also often regarded as the de facto standard for cross-platform compilers.

­General improvement

­fixed LTO link time performance issues caused by overflow of partitioning algorithm when building large binaries.

­language update C++

­fixed an error introduced in GCC 8.1 that affected the passing or return of classes with deleted copy constructors and default normal mobile constructors (bug centering constructor 86094).

­GCC 8.2 introduces-fabi-version=13 as the default, and ABI incompatibility between GCC 8.1 and 8.2 can be reported with-Wabi=12.

­Target Update IA-32/x86-64

­- mtune=native performance regression PR84413 on Intel Skylake processors has been fixed. The plan to fix this problem has been reported in a previous article.
