HTTPS (HTTP over SSL) because of the particularity of its communication protocol, domain name information and access URL are protected by SSL encryption, so most router systems can not filter and block the domain names of https websites. Professional Internet behavior management products such as WFilter can deeply analyze the traffic and extract the domain name information from https communications, so as to filter and block it.

As shown in the following figure, WFilter can extract the domain name information from the website certificate.

You can also block https sites in "web filtering"

As long as the domain name information is extracted, the https website can be filtered naturally. In WFilter's "Page filtering", rules such as "Page Blacklist and whitelist" and "URL Base filtering" can take effect on https sites. As shown below:

But there is one thing to note: "when the http page is blocked, you can prompt to block the page; when the https site is blocked, the blocked page cannot be displayed. (because the https link is encrypted, the page cannot be inserted in the link)"
