Microsoft Windows 10 Cumulative Update and bug: causing Voice and Network connection failure
According to foreign media reports, Microsoft released Windows 10 KB4532695 last week, which is a non-security update of Win10 version 1903 and 1909. Microsoft said the update included a fix for errors in the File Explorer Search column, but users found that the "fixed" File Explorer experience was still poor.
In addition, there are many problems with KB4532695, from death blue screen (BSOD) to destroying basic functions. According to the latest report, KB4532695 may also disable voice and Internet connections for some users. In the Microsoft Community Forum, many users reported that the latest cumulative updates would cause the audio or sound adapter to shut down, and some users had to uninstall the patch because there was a problem with the updated audio and the update driver could not be solved.
In addition to audio issues, there are also user feedback that some PC network functions will also be affected by the update: including Ethernet connections and Wi-Fi. One user said that the WiFi adapter of his updated device stopped working, and the update could not be rolled back on a laptop without Ethernet, it was useless to click "troubleshooting" in the settings, and the network reset feature did not solve the problem. You can only simply uninstall cumulative updates from Settings or roll back to previous versions of Windows 10, but this is not a good solution because it can lead to file browser corruption and other problems.
As more and more users report many errors in this update, the Microsoft team is expected to launch a targeted fix plan at a later stage.
