Create a new virtual machine step

First, click the home page in the vmware workstation software, click the button to create a new virtual machine, enter the New Virtual Machine wizard, and select a custom type.

Click next, go to the select virtual machine hardware compatibility interface, select "workstation 12.0", and then click the next button.

Go to install the client operating system, click "install the operating system later", and then click the "next" button.

Go to the "Select client operating system" interface, select "Linux", select "other Linux2.6.x kernels 64 bits" under the version, and then click the "next" button.

Go to "named virtual machine module", fill in your own name in "virtual machine name", select the location you want to store on "location", and then click "next".

6. Write the name of the virtual machine you created under "Virtual Machine name" in the "named Virtual Machine" interface, select the disk you want to store under "location", and then click "next".

In the "processor configuration" interface, "processors" select "1", "number of cores per processor" select "1", "total number of processor cores" is also 1, and then click the "next" button.

Select 1G or more memory on the "memory of this virtual machine" interface so that the virtual machine can run better, and then click the "next" button.

In the "Network Type" interface, select "use Network address (NAT) (E)", and then click the "next" button.

10. Go to "Select Igamot O controller type" and select "LSI Longic (L) (recommended)", and then click the "next" button.

Go to the "Select disk Type" interface, select the desired virtual disk type, select the recommended "SCSI (S) (recommended)" type, and then click "next".

Entering the "Select disk" interface, we select "create a new virtual disk" under the disk, because this is a complete process of buying a computer.

Enter the "specify disk capacity" interface, set the maximum disk size to 10G, select "split the virtual disk into multiple files" by default, and then click "next".

In the "specify disk file" interface, in the disk file selection location, we usually choose the default, and then click the "next" button.

We complete the creation of the virtual machine in the "ready to create a virtual machine" interface. Of course, we can also add a network card to the "custom hardware", because we usually use two network cards. Finally, click the "finish" button, so that our virtual machine is created.
