How to manually force the primary device to switch to standby in ScreenOS NSRP
Operation user: Root or Reda-Write privileges
There are two situations:
1. Preemption mode enabled 2. Preemption mode not enabled
1. Preemption mode is enabled (operating on the master device)
exec nsrp vsd-group 0 mode ineligible
2. Preemption mode is not enabled (operating on master)
exec nsrp vsd-group 0 mode backup
Note: To change the state of the firewall from ineligible to backup (or to make the firewall eligible to be backup), enter the command:
exec nsrp vsd-group 0 mode backup
