Cisco router modifies privileged password

Router (config) # interface f0and0

Router (config-if) # ip address 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0

Router (config-if) # no shutdown

Router (config-if) # exit

Router (config) #

Router (config) # exit

Router #

Router # configure terminal! Enter global mode

Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.

Router (config) # enable password cisco! Set privileged password

Router # write memory! Save the current configuration file to NVRAM

Router # reload! Reboot the system

To restart, press Ctrl + C

Rommon 1 > confreg 0x2142! Ignore configuration files in NVRAM

Rommon 2 > reset! Restart the system

Continue with configuration dialog? [yes/no]: no! Manual configuration

Router > enable! Enter privileged mode

Router #

Router # copy startup-config running-config! Copy the configuration file in NVRAM to memory

Router (config) # enable password 123! Reset password

Router # write memory! Save the new configuration file

Router # reload! Restart the system

Rommon 1 > confreg 0x2102! Reload the configuration file from NVRAM

Rommon 2 > reset! Restart the system password modified successfully
