Step 1: Download the software

Step 2: Organize FASTA files

(1) Open MEGA software. Click Align→Edit/Build Alignment→create a new alignment→OK→DNA/Protein;

(2) After that, such an interface will pop up. Click the button in the red box on the left to import files. After selecting all, click the sequence comparison shortcut key on the right to perform sequence comparison;

(3) All parameters default, sequence alignment;

(4) Save the comparison results as mas files.

Construction of evolutionary tree

(1) Click the Phylogeny button. There are two common trees: Maximum Likehood Tree and Neighbor-Joining Tree. Here we choose the latter as an example. The two icons on the left of the image below appear when importing the aligned sequence. Knock on the blackboard. Select Bootstrap and set it to 1000.

(2) Run, this process needs to wait;

(3) When you are done, click the button in the red box below to adjust it.
