Environment: AT91sam9x25, development board operating system: debian,vmware workstation to install redhat.

Step 1: minicom configuration

1. The serial port between pc and development board must be connected by cross line (pc and AT91sam9x25). 2. Serial port2 corresponds to ttyS1,serial port3 corresponds to ttyS2, and so on. 3. The com1 of pc is the nine-pin serial port behind the host computer.

Step 2: configure the ip of the development board.

1. Modify / etc/network/interfaces

Auto eth0

Iface eth0 inet static # static

Address 192.168.0.220 # interface address

Netmask 255.255.255.0 # mask

Gateway 192.168.0.1 # Gateway

2. Add a default gateway.

# route add default gw 192.168.0.1

3. Modify / etc/resolv.conf and configure dns.

Nameserver 192.168.0.1

4. Restart the network service, / etc/init.d/networking restart or ifdown eth0 and ifup eth0 or reboot restart the system.
