logging console 3; only log warnings of levels 0, 1, 2, and 3 are sent to the console;

Windows logs are converted to syslog using NTsyslog;

logging on; open log;

logging buffered 64000; defines the buffer for storing log messages as 64K;

cisco defaults to logging console 6;

Level 7 is debug log;

Cisco does not send logs to vty by default. To display them, you need a command: terminal monitor;

Note: This command is executed in the current telnet window;

logging host 192.168.1.1 transport udp port 514 //statement logging server and port

logging source-interface e0/1 //declaration log update source port
