Summary of TF Technical meeting: update R2003 build (with link), using upstream DPDK

Update R2003 version

Recently, the Tungsten Fabric Community Technical steering Committee (TSC) discussed support for upstream DPDK.

TSC decided to update the R2003 release, after which the R2003 build will use upstream DPDK--, including an additional process to ensure that DPDK 18.05.1 upstream is used.

After the version is updated, TSC will send an email asking members to vote.

Establish "project structure"

TSC believes that it is necessary for the community to clearly define the project structure of Tungsten Fabric to help people identify different "subprojects" of Tungsten Fabric.

All inbound codes or functions must be recorded in Wiki and community Jira to become approved projects, and TSC will review and approve these new projects and inbound codes.

At the same time, the community is working to move work to the Jira community.

New members join the community

Juniper network executives have said that they will provide more resources to support Tungsten Fabric open source projects.

At present, three engineers from Juniper Network have joined the community as new members, including:

Adam Grochowski will be committed to supporting TF's marketing efforts on the Market Advisory Committee; Anil Kapur will support the community through some product management support; and Aniket Daptari will mainly support roadmap and feature development.
