The share of Windows XP fell to a record low of 2.29% in March 2019.

Windows 10 is finally surpassing Windows 7, but do you remember Windows XP? Many people still stick to this super-classic system, which was born in 2001 and retired in 2014, but time is really running out.

Exactly a year ago, Windows XP still occupied 4.59% of desktop computers, a miracle for a system that had been abandoned for four years.

To make matters worse, it rebounded from time to time, rising to 5.04% in May last year, falling to 3.19% in September, and then returning to 4.54% in December.

What on earth happened? No one can tell.

But I still have to go, and then I go all the way down. NetMarketShare's latest statistics show that in March 2019, Windows XP's share was just 2.29%, an all-time low, and it won't make much difference even if it rebounds.
