Microsoft releases PowerShell snapshot previews to support GNU/Linux distributions such as Ubuntu

Today, we see Microsoft's PowerShell preview for Ubuntu as a Snap. As an automation and configuration management system, it is now released as a Ubuntu Linux snapshot package and supports other snapshot-enabled GUN / Linux distributions.

Joey Aiello, project manager of PowerShell, says the form of snapshots is great because it provides a single package format for many Linux distributions, just like PowerShell as a single automation platform for cross-platform operating systems.
