Android Messages Desktop client releases PWA version
Google has never stopped improving the Android Messages desktop client, and recent adjustments have mainly incorporated more Material Design design elements. Perhaps in order to have a better user experience on Chromebooks, Google said today that Messages has launched Progressive Web App, which users can install and use like local apps.
similar to Google Photos PWA, Messages does not make full use of the advantages of PWA applications, including backend notification and offline support. Messages's PWA app has the app manifest, so it can be installed in the Android/Chrome OS app drawer or in the Windows start menu.
