­Linux Mint revealed in a blog post that the beta version of Linux Mint 19 will be released on June 4, US time, while the three versions of Linux Mint 19 (Cinnamon, MATE, Xfce) are still in the beta stage, and all discovered bug has been fixed. The Beta phase of Linux Mint 19 is longer than usual, and a stable version is planned for the end of June.

­officials say that much of the code has been migrated to python3, gksu has been removed and replaced by pkexec, MATE now automatically supports HiDPI and uses a new package library, and the theme engine in GTK 3.22 is very different from the theme engine in GTK 3.18. I believe this is a version to look forward to.

­in addition, Linux Mint 19 "Tara" will switch to using Mint-Y as the default system theme and icon set, and Clement Lefebvre promises that this version will not collect any of your personal information or system data like Ubuntu.
