Antivirus software ESET Endpoint Antivirus officially landed on Linux platform

Security company ESET has recently launched antivirus software Endpoint Antivirus, which is suitable for Linux platform, thus completing the coverage of the three mainstream platforms: Windows, macOS and Linux.

The Linux version of ESET Endpoint Antivirus comes with typical antivirus features, including real-time protection and multiple scanning modes, as well as enterprise-specific tools that are fully compatible with ESET Security Management Center and ESET Cloud Administrator. The application can be installed on Windows and Linux platforms through ESET Security Management Center and managed remotely.

ESET believes that for the current increasingly serious security threat situation, single-layer defense is far from enough. Security software is no longer limited to one part, but focuses on the entire life cycle of malware-pre-execution (pre-execution), in-execution (execution) and post-execution (post execution). More importantly, malware is no longer just attacking Windows platforms, so they have launched antivirus software for macOS and Linux platforms.

ESET also specifically stressed that the antivirus software will minimize the impact on the performance of the Linux system, because it is designed to be less intrusive and will not affect the responsiveness of the device.
