When you practice load balancing or other systems that require two or more systems, you need to copy or clone the system of the virtual machine, or even reinstall it. We can copy a system through the copy function of Oracle VM VirtualBOX, generally on disk C, which takes up space; secondly, if we copy it to disk D, it is easy to make mistakes and cannot be used, so I found that it can be solved through a command line tool that comes with Vritualbox.

The specific steps are as follows:

1. Go to the installation directory of Vritualbox and find VBoxManage.exe;, such as mine on disk D.

C:\ Users\ hello > DVR D:\ > cd VirtualBoxD:\ VirtualBox > dir

2. VBoxManage.exe has a built-in clone command clonevdi, which uses syntax:

VBoxManage.exe clonevdi source system target system

First find the absolute path of your own original system disk, and then determine the target location, such as my clone command:

D:\ VirtualBox > VBoxManage.exe clonevdi D:\ VMwareOS\ CentOS6.8_lamp\ CentOS6.8lamp.vdi D:\ VMwareOS\ CentOS6.8web1\ CentOS6.8web1.vdi

The cloning progress of the system is displayed.

Tip: copy the absolute path of a file under Windows. Hold down Shift and then right-click to copy the absolute path of the file directly.

3. Make use of the function of Vritualbox to create a new virtual machine, select the existing disk (the system location of your own clone). The details are as follows:
