The Windows deployment Services server may not start

Problems encountered:

The DHCP server and WDS server are installed on the same computer, and the Windows deployment Services Server (WDS) is running on windows server 2008 R2, prompting that the (WDS) service cannot be started.

Reason:

Port 67 is used to start the WDS service. However, due to the configuration, the DHCP server will also use port 67, which will cause a conflict and cause the WDS to fail to start.

Solution:

Configure the WDS pre-boot execution environment (PXE) client to stop listening on port 67.

Method 1

Under cmd, enter the following command:

Wdsutil / set-Server / UseDhcpPorts:No

Method 2

In the Windows deployment Services window, expand the server, click Properties Server, select the DHCP tab, select do not listen on port 67, and then click apply.

Recently, I was studying the unattended installation of windows. At first I thought it was a server problem, but later I found that there was this bug. I was trapped for a long time, but it was finally solved.
