The principle and configuration of one-arm routing
The principle and configuration of single-arm routing
One: single-arm routing principle
It refers to the way of configuring subinterfaces (physical interfaces that do not exist) on one interface of the router to realize the interconnection and interworking between different VLAN which are originally isolated from each other.
Two: link type
The port on which the switch connects to the host is an access link
The port on which the switch connects to the router is a trunk link
Three: experimental configuration
Experimental equipment: GNS3 software, two hosts, one switch, one router
1. First of all, modify the hard disk memory of the switch and router in GNS3, right-click and select configure, and the switch needs to change the interface to 16-interface.
2. then connect it with a twisted pair, write the information of each interface next to it for viewing, and then open the whole topology diagram.
3. Configure SW1 first, turn off the routing function of SW1 before configuration, divide each interface into vlan,f1/0 into vlan10, and F1 into vlan20. F1x2 is connected to the router, so it needs to be encapsulated.
4. Configure R1 with single-arm routing, and set up multiple logical subinterfaces on the router, each of which corresponds to an VLAN. Because there is only one physical routing interface, the data of each subinterface is passed on the physical link to be tagged and encapsulated.
5. You can check whether the configuration is correct, view the routing table and view the interface mode
6. Configure the two hosts with ip addresses to see if the test results can communicate with each other.
Double-click to open PC1 and enter the instructions for ping
The experiment of single-arm routing is completed.
