Question:

For some reason, the original Windows version of VCenter was replaced with VCSA, and the environment was re-configured as before. After reconfiguring Vcenter on VIEW Administrator, there is a mismatch between the computer name and the DNS name on the administrative page. The details are shown in the following figure

Impact:

The current mismatch between the computer name and the DNS name may prevent users from connecting to the desktop through Horizon View Client.

For example, when the DNS name of computer An is B.DNS, the DNS name of computer B is C.DNS, and the DNS name of computer C is A.DNS, user authorization is also quite confusing. Of course, the reality is much more complicated than that. When user A logs in, he actually logs in to B's desktop, and B may not be able to log in (because the authorization is not in the same pool), or be able to log in to C user's desktop, and so on.

Solution:

At that time, our situation was already very serious. after trying to reinstall the connection server, we could only take a stupid approach, that is, to change the original automatic desktop pool to a manual desktop pool (first only remove the virtual machine from the view manager and then create a new manual pool to add the desktop and re-authorize it). After re-adding, the mismatch between the computer name and the DNS name on the view administrator page is resolved.
