My motherboard is 939NF4G-SATA2 built-in sound card, Nforce4 410 controller, Realtek ALC850 AC97 codec. I did not install the OSS sound card driver provided by Nvidia (NFORCE-Linux-x86_64-1. 0-0310-pkg1.run). Instead, I installed alsa-XXX-1.0.10.Linux Aplay that could not play and there was an error.

Start / proc/asound/cards always-- no soundcards--. Later, I added "{0x10derecast 0x026b recompiled" to alsa-driver-1.0.10/sound/pci/intel8x0.c, and recompiled it. Now the sound card can finally be detected. Sound can be made with systen-config-soundcard.

The following error occurs when playing with Linux Aplay:

Playing with xmms also indicates that there is a problem and cannot be played.

It feels like there is any configuration of Linux Aplay that has not been modified accordingly. (/ etc/alsa/???)

I configured it with alsaconf. It didn't work.
