Log in to ORACLE through operating system authentication at windows

Under windows 2008, try to log in to oracle and report an error:

C:\ Users\ oracle > sqlplus / nolog

SQL*Plus: Release 11.1.0.6.0-Production on Wed Jan 13 17:42:49 2010

SQL > conn / as sysdba

ERROR:

ORA-01031: insufficient privileges

Obviously is an ORACLE user, how can I say that I do not have permission? Is it possible that 2008 of Windows discriminates, and the competition between sqlserver and oracle databases extends to OS and DB?

When you install Oracle Database, a special Windows local group called ORA_DBA is created (if it does not already exist from an earlier Oracle Database installation), and your Windows username is automatically added to it. Members of local group ORA_DBA automatically receive the SYSDBA privilege.

I checked my environment and found that oracle users did not assign ora_dba group. It must be that there is no permission given to sysdba to pass the operating system authentication.

Modify permissions and log in again. The problem is solved:

C:\ Users\ oracle > sqlplus / as sysdba

SQL*Plus: Release 11.1.0.6.0-Production on Wed Jan 13 18:34:06 2010
