1. Execute cd C:\ Program Files\ VMware\ vCenter Server\ vmdird in CMD

2. Execute the following command: vdcadmintool.exe

3. Select 3.Reset account password, and you only need to enter the number 3 to hit enter. In this case, you need to enter account UPN (user principal name), that is, the SSO account name. The general format is administrator@SSO domain name. Here, take administrator@qycc.local as an example. After typing enter, the system will automatically generate a new password and copy the password.

4. Web accesses https://vCenter IP/vsphere-client/?csp. Enter the newly generated password of CMD at the user name where you enter the administrator@qycc.local password. It is recommended to copy and paste. Click the login button to log in to vCenter for web.

5. After logging in, click the user name, the drop-down menu will pop up, and you can choose to change the password, and then you can set the complex password generated in CMD to a password that is easy to remember.

6. At this point, the password of the vCenter SSO user name can be reset successfully.
