-t refers to the number of white space characters represented by the custom table character, instead of using the default 8. -I do not convert tabs after non-blank characters-- help displays help information-- version displays version information
Reference example
Replace the first Tab character on each line in the file with 6 space characters, and tabs after non-white space characters are not converted:
