Power BI basic process demonstration

In the previous section, we introduced the basic concepts of Power BI, and in this section we share the main process of making a simple report using Power BI Desktop, publishing to a Power BI service, and consulting a report from Power BI Mobile.

This section focuses on demonstrating the basic process of report making / publishing / presentation and does not involve how to make exquisite reports.

Import Excel data using Power BI Desktop

View data imported into Power BI Desktop

Use matrix, cluster bar chart, slicer to make report

Publish a report to a Power BI service

Review reports from Power BI Mobile

Use Power BI Desktop mobile phone view to adapt to mobile phone

Fix the visualization to the dashboard.

First of all, the test data we prepared are administrative data downloaded from the National Bureau of Statistics for nearly 10 years, as shown in the table below:

Next, we import the data-Excel from Power BI Desktop, and the result is as follows:

Next, we have created the visualization and the steps for making it. Please see the video at the beginning of the standard:

Next, publish the report to the Power BI service:

After connecting to the Power BI service from the Mobile of the phone, we found that the report is horizontal, and then we went back to Power BI Desktop and set up the phone to try and republish the report with the correct vertical screen displayed on the phone:
